I’m Emy and I primarily work in oil paint and collage. Architecture often appears in my work— I like its lines, structure, and quiet presence. In my oil paintings, I work with the impasto technique to build thick, textured surfaces. I have long been inspired by the expressive use of paint in the work of Vincent van Gogh.

Collage is more intimate. I found it through art therapy, and it became a way to speak when words felt out of reach. I have about four sketchbooks full of them now :).
